MISS ZAHRA

Seppo, a lonely forestry machine operator in rural Finland, receives an email from a woman named Zahra asking for money. His best friend Jussi is certain it's a scam, but Seppo, desperate for connection, decides to trust his heart instead of his head — and soon finds himself deep in love and in trouble.

A short film starring Ville Myllyrinne, Tommi Liski and Vida Koivumäki, produced by Mjölk Movies with support from the Finnish Film Foundation and Yle. The film had its world premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and screened in official competition at the Moscow International Film Festival, alongside selections at Nordisk Panorama, Haugesund and Helsinki International Film Festival. It received the Award of Excellence from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland in 2016.
